This new Scottish Jazz/Soul/Spiritual ensemble from the minds of Marco Cafolla and Konrad Wiszniewski draws from an inner journey of discovery. Signed to the legendary Acid Jazz Records, the debut album 'The Summoned' has influences from John & Alice Coltrane, Nina Simone, McCoy Tyner & Miles Davis to Kamasi Washington, Erykah Badu & Robert Glasper.  Mama Terra will take you through this journey together with them, connecting through their music and love, with an energy that can only be experienced live. This concert will be supported by the Blue Lamp Youth Combo.

Graeme Stephen Live Soundtrack to “The Penalty”

The Joshua Jaswon Octet is a Berlin-based contemporary jazz ensemble, featuring a broad cross-section of exceptional musicians from Europe's leading jazz scenes. Led by the London-born saxophonist and composer, the ensemble released its debut album Silent Sea in October 2020, which was selected by BBC Music as one of the best jazz recordings of 2020/21 and received 4 and 5 star reviews across the UK and international media.

The Leicestershire-raised, Welsh-rooted saxophonist brings his dynamic quartet to Aberdeen, presenting music from his debut album. A graduate of Trinity Laban, Nye is a distinctly creative artist who paints visceral scenes through his music. Key influences of his are Ambrose Akinmusire, Wayne Shorter and British Jazz icon and mentor of Nye’s, Mark Lockheart.
