Grapelli Night with Seonaid Aitken Quintet
Award-winning violinist Seonaid Aitken pays tribute to her French Jazz violin hero Stephane Grappelli to mark 25 years since his passing. Specialising in Gypsy Jazz, Seonaid is a regular tutor at the Grappelli-Django Camp in The Netherlands and performs extensively with her Scottish Jazz Award-winning band Rose Room. Seonaid and her piano quintet will celebrate Grappelli’s 60+ year career with swingin’ tunes from his solo repertoire, his Quintette du Hot Club de France and duets with classical violin virtuoso Yehudi Menuhin.
