Sam Newbould Quintet

The Sam Newbould Quintet is an award winning five piece international line-up emerging from the vibrant Amsterdam jazz scene. Described as “mindblowing, sometimes introverted and intimate and then exuberant again” (SWN Talent Award, NL), their music combines virtuosity with driving grooves and playful melodies that stick in your head. The quintet are selected showcase artists at Jazzahead 2025 and have performed on major stages including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Love Supreme (UK), BIMHUIS (NL), and the Vortex (UK). The band are touring Europe supporting the release of their third album ‘Homing’ (ZenneZ Records).

We’re excited and grateful to the Rusty Nail for hosting us for this special one-off event as we trial alternative venues around Aberdeen.

Please be aware that the venue is not step-free and has stairs. The space is also slightly smaller than our previous venue, with tickets limited to just 70, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
