Award-winning keyboardist Peter Johnstone leads an international group of jazz virtuosi playing music that is rhythmically dynamic and full of colour and expression. Peter is joined by the stellar lineup of Joe Locke on vibes, Tommy Smith on saxophone and Alyn Cosker on drums. A former Young Scottish Jazz Musician of the Year, Peter is already a favourite with the Blue Lamp audience after organ trio gigs with Prime and Paul Towndrow and takes the format one step further with the addition of New York vibes master Joe Locke whose style blends flamboyant artistry with soulful bluesy directness. Tommy Smith needs no introduction to the Blue Lamp audience, many of whom will recall his memorable collaboration with Joe at the Aberdeen Jazz Festival a few years ago, and Alyn Cosker is simply world-class.
