The multi-award-winning bassist, composer and BBC Young Jazz Musician of the year 2022, Ewan Hastie is fast making his mark on the UK jazz scene, and his trio features two of Scotland’s finest talents, Tom Gibbs (piano) and Stephen Henderson on (drums). Hastie’s technical virtuosity and creativity balanced by the mastery of Tom Gibb’s touch and melodic sensibility, supported by Stephen Henderson’s rhythmic versatility, showcases a fusion of modern jazz, folk and soul elements made up entirely of his original compositions.
