C.A.L.I.E is one of the newest jazz-fusion groups to emerge from Glasgow’s thriving music scene. Lead by saxophonist Josie Girgis and consisting of a stellar line-up, this new band promises to treat its audiences. Influenced by hard-hitting fusion groups like Huntertones and Snarky Puppy, C.A.L.I.E presents a set of music that captures listeners with both its heavy grooves and intricate arrangements. With compositions that draw from a vast range of genres – including jazz, prog, funk, hip-hop and neo-soul – C.A.L.I.E indulges its audiences with an exciting and eclectic collection of original music. With Josie Girgis on alto sax/compositions, James Steele on tenor sax, Samuel Parkinson on guitar, Kevin Henderson on guitar, Dan Brown on piano, Ewan Hastie on bass and Greg Irons on drums.

We’re excited and grateful to the Rusty Nail for hosting us for this special one-off event as we trial alternative venues around Aberdeen.
Please be aware that the venue is not step-free and has stairs. The space is also slightly smaller than our previous venue, with tickets limited to just 70, so we encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
